There are many different strategies to Lane Play. The way to play lanes and make adjustments has changed a lot in recent years. It is a result of changes in the bowling environment due to the modern oil patterns and bowling balls.

Today, there is always more than one way to play any lane condition. This is a welcome outcome from all the different bowling balls available in the market. You can use a weaker ball and play a straighter line to the pocket. Or, you might decide to use a stronger ball and hook it more. But there really is more to that than just selecting a bowling ball and a target on the lane.
