How To Play The Lanes
There are many different strategies to Lane Play. The way to play lanes and make adjustments has changed a lot in recent years. It is a result of changes in the bowling environment due to the modern oil patterns and bowling balls.
Today, there is always more than one way to play any lane condition. This is a welcome outcome from all the different bowling balls available in the market. You can use a weaker ball and play a straighter line to the pocket. Or, you might decide to use a stronger ball and hook it more. But there really is more to that than just selecting a bowling ball and a target on the lane.

Changing bowling balls and manipulating the surface of the coverstock may solve part of the problem. Opting for different ball layouts may be another. In short, we are trying to match-up our bowling balls to the given playing condition to score well.
